These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Herstory Beauty Academy website and any course bookings made through our site or in person. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms set out below.

1. General Information

Herstory Beauty Academy is a UK-based education provider offering in-person beauty training courses. These Terms apply to all bookings, users, and visitors to our site.

2. Eligibility

To enrol in a course, you must:

• Be aged 18 or over.

• Possess a good understanding of English.

• Meet any specific entry requirements stated for the course.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to any course without explanation.

3. Course Bookings

3.1 Booking Confirmation: A course place is only confirmed once full payment or a deposit is received and a confirmation email is issued.

3.2 Payment Methods: Payments can be made via our secure online system, bank transfer, or other approved methods.

3.3 Instalment Plans: Where offered, instalment plans must be completed before the course start date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4. Course Delivery

4.1 Course Type: All Herstory Academy training is delivered in-person by qualified tutors, with practical, hands-on learning and assessments.

4.2 Attendance: You must attend all sessions on time. If you miss sessions, you may not be eligible for certification.

4.3 Certification: Certificates will be issued upon successful completion of the course and all required assessments.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

5.1 Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period): If you book a course online or over the phone, you have the legal right to cancel within 14 calendar days of booking, provided the course has not started.

5.2 Waiving the Cooling-Off Period: If you choose a course that starts within the 14-day period, you will be required to waive your cancellation rights. If any part of the course is attended, refunds may be partial or not applicable.

5.3 Cancellations After Cooling-Off Period: Cancellations made less than 14 days before the course or after the course has started are non-refundable.

5.4 Missed Sessions: Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance, illness, lateness, or personal reasons.

5.5 Academy Cancellations: If we cancel a course, you will be offered a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date.

6. Code of Conduct

All learners must:

• Treat tutors, staff, and peers with respect.

• Refrain from disruptive or abusive behaviour.

• Comply with all health and safety and safeguarding policies.

Failure to do so may result in removal from the course without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials are the intellectual property of Herstory Beauty Academy and must not be copied, shared, or reproduced without prior written consent.

8. Liability

Herstory Beauty Academy is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during training. Learners must follow all instructions and health and safety guidance provided.

9. Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your data is stored and processed in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.

10. Updates to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
